What is the week like?

Everything begins as you announce your intentions to treat them like movies stars. From there, you are able to customize EVERYTHING about the week.

Select if you want to use any theater themed activities/treats, which you can do at any time during the week. Examples:

• The red carpet photo shoot contest as they enter the building

• “Let’s go out to the lobby” plays over intercom for surprise treats

• Movie candy cart

Then select which movies themes you want to use. Each movie includes an activity or contest that will have everyone laughing and talking throughout the day. Options include:

• Meet the Parents - Use our pre-written email to encourage parents to send in appreciation videos. The funniest and most heartfelt ones win a prize for their teacher.

• The Breakfast Club - Donut/muffin bar provided as the admin team and members of the PTO play the characters using our scripts. Principal Vernon is always a favorite!

• Dirty Dancing - Nobody is putting Baby in the corner this week with a dance contest that will have your cafeteria clapping and laughing.

• Finding Nemo - For each hidden cutout Nemo the staff members find around the school they get one minute off the next staff meeting (or substitute award of your choice)

• The Da Vinci Code - Have a competitive staff who would like nothing better than to break your code for a secret reward? Game on!

How much time/extra money is involved?

Setup takes about 30 minutes to read through the instructions and make your selections. Most games and activities take minimal time to prepare during the week, and you are able to go as big or as small as you would like.

The great thing about Movie Magic is that you are able to choose your activities, pulling off an amazing week no matter your budget. Too often we see schools try to buy their way to showing appreciation, with things like sweatshirts or gift bags, which end up costing a fortune for not much pay off.

Any extra expense is up to you, but most schools do popcorn, movie candy cart (from the dollar store), and The Breakfast at Tiffany’s breakfast (which can be as simple as donuts or as extravagant as you want it to be).
