How it works

Use our script, sound effects, clues, and posters during morning and afternoon announcements to create a 1940’s serial radio show that will have your staff and students solving puzzles and working together to discover the “villain’s” true identity.

Everything runs in the background of the school day, never interfering with classrooms or learning. Each day brings a new puzzle or activity, leaving plenty of opportunities for prizes and treats to add to a “Fall Festival” type of feel.

Though this is perfect for Halloween week (even includes an optional costume contest), nothing is spooky or inappropriate for any level school, working equally as well for elementary through high school. The plot runs like the movie “National Treasure,” and includes tons of humor and running jokes.

How much time is involved?

The instructions take about 30-45 minutes to read through and plan/customize your week. Each day then requires about 15 minutes to prepare (practice the script, print and hide clues, hang posters), but it also leaves room for you to go above and beyond and make it as big or small a production as you wish.

Reviews:

“This has simply been one of the best weeks I can remember for our school. The students took to it like I never imagined and our teachers couldn’t get enough. They were finding “clues” in almost everything, which of course were not real clues at all, but made it even more fun. It was hilarious and I wanted to let you know it was a HUGE hit for us.” – Lisa Jassy

I wanted to let you know that we had a blast with the Principal’s Book of Secrets! We just finished up on Monday and our staff and students loved it!  I was a little apprehensive about including high schoolers, but I think they enjoyed it the most.  When we did our AL reveal, my office was surrounded with kids who wanted to see the big reveal!  Thanks for making it so easy to implement and so fun!.” – Julie Marshall

“Hahahahaha! We just completed the final radio show announcement and the reveal was a blast. I’m hearing a lot of thank you’s and staff wanting to do more like this. So I just wanted to say thank you for your efforts and programs. They are making a big difference at our school” – Rich Gibbs
